A special lecture on “Intellectual Property Rights ” was organised by Youth Red Cross (YRC), a service learning unit of LICET on 27/03/2019 at 11:30 a.m. at smart room in which 60 students of 1st EEE attended the program. The speaker presented an overviewaboutintellectualpropertyrights(IPR)and the need of IPR in current and future scenario. He also emphasised on how engineering students need to workout towards achieving better intellectual property rights in form of copyright and patents in line with National mission towards excellence in innovation, skill and entrepreneurship.

Students had a great exposure and learning experience towards IPR and the information imparted will certainly pave a way towards strong and resourceful engineering studies and with better career prospects. Students had a healthy discussion with the guest speaker,who answered their queries and wished them to learn and think more towards IPR and related things. Overall, the ambience was an breakthrough towards achieving a holistic formation of students for the betterment of students and the society
